The GF Target Maturity VI Bond Fund is addressed to investors who seek to generate capital gains, while at the same time aspiring to preserve the assets of holders who will continue to hold it for the duration of the predefined 10-year investment horizon. The GF Target Maturity VI Bond Fund will be fully liquidated by 31.07.2033. Investments in the mutual fund portfolio will start immediately after the end of the asset collection period on 31.07.2023.
Investment objective
The GF Target Maturity VΙ Bond Fund invests in fixed income securities in euros, such as government and corporate bonds.
It invests in a specific bond portfolio with remaining bond term to maturity ranging from 7 to 11 years at the launch of the mutual fund, aiming to potentially reflect the the maturity horizon of the mutual fund’s strategy. The mutual fund aims to hold the bonds invested in at its launch until their maturity (buy and hold), so as to secure the principal through the payout of the bonds at their maturity. The mutual fund will replace any bonds maturing before its maturity with money market instruments or suitable bonds with a corresponding remaining horizon, until its final liquidation.
The mutual fund may invest over 35% of its assets in Greek, Italian, French and Cypriot government bonds.
To limit the consequences of the volatility of markets, it may invest in deposits and derivative financial instruments.
